My client, a forward-thinking and transformational real estate and development company, is looking for a Real Estate Manager to oversee the property management efforts. They own and operate a portfolio of commercial assets that spans across Alberta’s secondary and tertiary markets. Reporting to the President, this position offers you the opportunity to be a hands-on and developing leader ensuring operational excellence, senior administration, financial performance, and tenant satisfaction.
The Job | Beyond ensuring that landlord and tenant obligations are being meet, you’ll manage day-to-day property and related operations efforts, ensuring sites meet safety standards, maintenance requirements, and tenant needs. You’ll develop and monitor budgets, oversee monthly processes, and implement initiatives that help improve internal systems and tenant service quality. Your will guide a small team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with leasing, development, and accounting teams to align property management strategies with broader business objectives. Building and maintaining strong tenant relationships will be essential, developing trusting relationships and addressing concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
What Success Looks Like | The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years in the commercial property arena with a solid exposure to lease agreements, financial processes, property programming and high level administration systems. Proven leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills, adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment, and proficiency with Yardi property management software and other related technology are essential. A willingness to travel as scheduled and required, including locations outsides of Edmonton, is required.
