Director, Residential Property Management (Edmonton, AB)

My client, a sophisticated and progressive real estate company, is are seeking a passionate, savvy and customer service driven individual to fill the position of Director, Residential Property Management (Edmonton, AB). Reporting directly to the COO and collaborating with the company leadership, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the residential (rental/highrise) management portfolio to ensure operational excellence, stakeholder (landlord/owner) expectations and resident satisfaction are attained.

TALENT & RESPONSIBILITIES | As the Director of Residential Property Management, you’ll be at the forefront of planning and executing comprehensive property management strategies that align with the company and stakeholder long-term goals, asset performance and industry standards.

Your previous leadership exposure lends itself well to driving profitability through your perceptive budgeting prowess and analysis capabilities, ensuring sustainable growth for the portfolio. You offer an exposure to onboarding new assets taken under management.  You partner well with Leasing and Marketing to stay ahead of market trends, demonstrating innovative approaches that set your company apart in the market.  You enjoy working closely with company leaders to support corporate goals and champion service excellence.

Prioritizing tenant satisfaction and retention is a primary goal and you are active in your pursuit of engagement tactics, processes and systems that create value for tenants and stakeholder (owners). You are committed to sustainability and energy-efficient initiatives, working with providers to seek out equitable programs and educating tenants on conservation practices.

You excel at developing and implementing performance objectives with clear metrics, monitoring and reporting succinct and purposeful updates and reports to stakeholders, continually driving for improvement. Lastly, you are genuine in your commitment to inspire, grow and motivate your team – mentoring and developing core capacities that create opportunities for advancement and succession.

QUALIFICATIONS | Beyond having demonstrated successes in leading and growing a residential property management portfolio, you also have acquired your real estate, associate broker or broker license. Offering post-secondary education in Business Administration, Real Estate Management (or other related field) or the equivalence, demonstrated by your proven success, is desired. Possessing excellent written and oral communication dexterities and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, is a must.  Your entrepreneurial mindset and passion for innovation and continuous improvement will elevate you in this process.
