Senior Property Manager (Edmonton, AB) – No Longer Available

Our client, a successful commercial real estate owner/developer with a highly respected brand, is looking for a Senior Property Manager (Edmonton, AB). In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of two high-value office & expanded portfolios, including being part of the development team of the newest asset. Managing a diverse team of 10+/- professionals will allow you to hone your people leadership skills. You will be part of an interdependent group within a highly resourced company where the executives have a reputation for being people builders and champions. The Job   You possess exemplary interpersonal communication skills along with an enterprising spirit and sophistication for creating and maintaining exceptional relationships with a range of national and local tenants. You are highly prepared, listen, have a strong sense of curiosity and can speak confidently to any matters related to your portfolio or PM knowledge base. Reporting to supportive leadership, you enjoy being accountable for the management of your properties, ensuring you are fulfilling lease obligations.  You apply strong and transparent controls that assist in optimizing operations, including “walking” your sites often to ensure quality efforts are in play that reduce risks and enhance the premium programming you have in place.  Your reputation for doing so has been directly linked to positive tenant retention, successful TI’s and capital projects management and positive relationships with contractors and vendors. These same behaviours lend themselves well when mentoring your team or working closely with colleagues in the leasing and development areas where you partner easily and communicate comfortably.

The Fit   You are highly motivated, organized, self-aware and detailed, possessing well developed written and verbal communication skills. A strong critical thinker with a high level of political acumen, you have a penchant for executing well and often demonstrate proactive solutions to bothersome challenges.  You are well acquainted with negotiating tenders and contracts and are capable at creating budgets and managing the many financial drivers associated with your portfolio. You like to form partnerships with your team and the leadership, each of whom lean on your capacity and who believe in your ability to make thoughtful recommendations and decisions. You are a walk the talk kind of person, following through on your commitments and demonstrating integrity and reliability.  You work well in a communicative and transparent environment that promotes mutual trust, supports team and whose culture recognizes and invests in employee talent, growth and wellness.

Interested? Your established experience of 7+ years as a Property Manager, ideally in office arena and exposure to hybrid asset development, provides you with a strong foundation for this position.  Possessing a current real estate license is ideal. Post-secondary education and/or any related real estate certifications will elevate your candidacy as will your comprehension of Yardi and ability to maneuver Microsoft Office programs.
