Property Manager – Commercial Real Estate -NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Our client, a highly entrepreneurial and successful commercial real estate developer and asset owner, is in need of a Property Manager – minimum 1 year contract (based in Edmonton, AB).  This client also is open to an APM or Senior PMA who is ready to use this role as a stepping stone to enhance their career. The Job   In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of an approximately 1 million sq. ft. portfolio, with potential growth, that consists of  mixed class commercial real estate assets (single and multi-tenant) in Edmonton/area. Working with a solid team of highly reliable and intelligent professionals, your new company offers you the ability to build upon your bench strengths and grow your skills towards elevated asset leadership roles.

Your enterprising spirit will lend itself well in managing a diverse property portfolio that includes shopping centres, industrial buildings and office space, beyond other unique assets. You have a dexterity for creating and maintaining exceptional relations with national and local tenants. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager,  you enjoy being accountable for the management of assets, maximizing revenues and controlling expenditures, ensuring efficient operations for properties that are well maintained with the intent of achieving corporate objectives. As such, your responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide excellent tenant management and service, including the application of strong internal controls
  • Re/develop systems and procedures, including tenant lease expiration and retention plan, cap ex projections, property management policies and procedures, tenant insurance/required documentation, and reports
  • Asset management responsibilities including building operations and vendor management/agreements
  • Ensure fulfillment of landlord and tenant lease obligations
  • Act as direct tenant liaison to ensure that all tenant construction activity and landlord work are well-coordinated, organized and proactively managed, and in fulfillment of lease obligations
  • Develop and monitor annual property budgets
  • Assist in the leasing and renewals of properties
  • Work with and mentor PA
  • Microsoft Office dexterity and knowledge of Yardi Voyager
