My client, a highly respected urban innovator and real estate management company, is in search of a visionary Operations and Facility Manager to lead a dedicated team and multi-site portfolio of commercial and multi-family properties that has exposure to new development, redevelopment, acquisition and disposition in the Edmonton area.

Role: As the Operations and Facility Manager, you’ll oversee a dedicated team of up to 5 Operators, driving optimization and delivering first-class service. Your role extends to managing vendors, security, and contractor relationships, building continuous improvement processes, managing CapEx planning and execution, ensuring site safety and risk management, and guaranteeing compliance across all sites. You will play an active role in mentoring, growing and coaching your team, assuring quality control across all sites.

Your Talent: You have managed the operations of multiple properties, working closely with Property Managers and other departments. You offer 5+ years’ leadership experience overseeing the optimization, preventative/maintenance and repair of commercial and residential building systems (HVAC, plumbing, lighting, mechanical, electrical, life safety, and security). This company is setting new standards and practices, so your general inquisitiveness on new technologies and environmental advances will be right up their alley. Possessing your 5th Class Power Engineering certificate, along with other technical certifications and/or other post secondary education has been one of the pillars to your success. Most important is your reputation and track record for your practicing with integrity, implementing best practices, building and leading cohesive teams, and demonstrating excellent communication capabilities. You understand that you are in the business of delivering positive experiences and quality outcomes for your tenants and you take that objective very seriously.

Interested: Your exceptional multitasking skills and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment will allow you to adapt quickly to your new leadership role as the Operations and Facility Manager. Having experience with project management and working with Yardi and Microsoft Office will also aid in an easy transition.
