Industrial Customer Service Manager – PLACED

Our client, a highly successful industrial company with global reach is looking for a motivated leader to step into the position of Customer Service Manager in their Canadian headquarters located in Edmonton, Alberta. This position requires your bench strength for efficiently managing the operations and delivery of three core customer service driven areas:  inside sales, bids/quotations, and projects. Your competencies for leading and building people, critical thinking, strategically executing plans, creating processes and communicating effectively are key to your ability to be successful and move into progressive leadership roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES   As the Customer Service Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of professional, quality, customer-centric services.  Your experience in building teams and intuitive sense of people has aided in your ability to co-develop performance plans with your direct reports that create exemplary outcomes and set them up for success. You are actively involved in overseeing and making decisions regarding Requests for Quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and delivery are attainable. You are diligent in ensuring that your team has the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and work with customers in attaining and fulfilling orders and garnering referrals, are adequately resourced, and possess the products/services knowledge required to confidently speak about them.

REQUIREMENTS   You possess a Degree or Diploma and 5 years’ experience in managing people in a positions that have garnered you experience in inside/sales, growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning. Having a strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques will greatly elevate you in this competition.  Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills are a must, along with an excellent ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively and maneuver in Microsoft Office Suite.

COMPENSATION An excellent six figure compensation package is offered, including a comprehensive benefits offering that includes a matching RRSP, health spending account, and other perks. Please note that some travel may be required.
