Chief Operating Officer (COO) – NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Our client, one of Edmonton most reputable and long-standing law firms, is introducing the new position of Chief Executive Officer (Edmonton, Alberta) to their Executive Team. Reporting to the Managing Partner with accountability to the Partnership, the COO will develop and drive new transformational initiatives that will allow additional bench strengths, business growth and talent approaches to be introduced.

THE OPPORTUNITY | This is a new role for the firm, so you will have the ability to act as a trailblazer. They are not looking for a traditional leader but a transformational one. The COO job is complexed and requires a multi-facetted and agile leader who can act as a valuable pivot, innovator and entrepreneur. As COO, you will help the Partners set the overall Strategic Direction, driving the firm’s ability to successfully meet the long and short term key performance indicators. You share in the firm’s vision of advancement and operational excellence. As such, you will be accountable for collaboratively leading, executing and managing all aspects related to the firm’s Operations, Organizational Effectiveness, Financial Performance, Risk Management, People Leadership, Human Resources, Administration, Marketing, Technology and Business Development.

PREREQUISITE | The selected candidate must satisfactorily meet the pre-employment conditions: Enhanced EPS Information Check or Enhanced RCMP Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Record Check, Education Confirmation and a Soft Credit Check/Credit Score (this role has direct access to the firm’s finances and accounts). Strong consideration will be given to those candidates who currently reside in the Edmonton area and who possess Canadian residency or citizenship.
