Business Development Manager – Commercial Real Estate – PLACED

Our client, an owner operated and long standing Alberta based company, specializing in civil project deconstruction and demolition, is expanding its operations due to demand and growth. Having earned a reputation for operating with integrity, transparency and delivering customer-centric services, they are excited to add a like-minded professional to their high functioning and savvy team.  As their new Business Development Manager – Commercial Real Estate (Calgary, Alberta), you will be a key player in identifying and developing new relationships, executing and attaining project bids and following projects through to completion, ensuring the entire process is met with a high degree of client satisfaction.  Please note that this position will ideally commence in January 2017.

Reporting to the President and working with a well-developed infrastructure and knowledgeable team, you will lean heavily on your keen ability to identify and secure business opportunities.  Beyond the capacity to lead your activity and work with a team, your aptitude to effectively communicate and develop authentic and strong relationships with the commercial real estate (CRE) community, including landlords, brokers, owners, developers, and other CRE professionals, is key to your success.

What do I need to win this job? You possess a profile that is not afraid to pursue new business, make cold calls and pick up the phone.  You keep your ear to the ground and thrive on getting in front of prospective customers. You have a talent for managing detail and for meeting timelines. Your proven track record in successfully managing cradle-to-grave processes are exemplary. Ideally you have a background in construction or commercial real estate; however, working in an aligned industry or having a profile that will fit into my client’s environment and this position, along with possessing the intelligence to learn quickly, are equally important and will be strongly considered.
