My client, a Calgary-based, privately held real estate group, is seeking a Property Manager (title to be based on level of experience) to oversee a mixed portfolio of commercial and new development multifamily assets.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, well-run organization that values strong relationships, thoughtful decision-making, and a high standard of execution — while offering the flexibility and trust that allows professionals to do their best work.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible to lead the day-to-day management and performance of a mixed portfolio of commercial and new development multifamily assets, while supporting commercial acquisition and properties as they transition through development and stabilization.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and collaboration, while being supported by an engaged executive team and internal group.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing all aspects of property operations, ensuring assets are maintained to a high standard.
Conducting regular site visits, building walkthroughs and quality control checks.
Leading and coordinating a team inclusive of leasing, property administration, operations staff, cleaners and seasonal contractors.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with commercial tenants and residential stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact.
Working closely with leasing to support occupancy strategies and positively influence vacancy outcomes.
Interpreting and administering lease agreements, ensuring obligations are understood and executed.
Preparing and managing annual operating budgets, along with conducting monthly financial reviews and forecasting to guide performance and decision-making.
Supporting the onboarding and stabilization of new multifamily developments.
Identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, tenant experience, and overall asset value and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will bring:
5+ years of Property Management experience, preferably within commercial real estate with exposure to multifamily.
A real estate license (or active progress toward completion).
Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams across multiple functions.
Strong understanding of commercial leasing structures, tenant relationships, and residential operations.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to property operations.
A desire — and the capacity — to build upon and enhance existing programming and operational processes.
A clear desire to grow into a future Property Management leadership role, with the mindset and initiative to get there.
Confidence operating both on-site and in a strategic, portfolio-level capacity.
What Sets This Role Apart
This opportunity offers more than traditional property management.
You will be part of a team that:
Operates with trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
Encourages collaboration across departments, particularly between operations and leasing.
Provides flexibility and balance, while maintaining high standards of performance.
Is growing — creating a natural pathway toward increased responsibility and future leadership opportunities.
This is an environment where you can build your career with intention, contribute meaningfully, and take pride in the portfolio you manage.
Be Rewarded
This role offers a competitive, in-depth compensation package, reflective of experience, along with a culture that supports growth, flexibility, and long-term career satisfaction, amongst other perks.
