PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE – No Longer Available

Our client, a highly regarded leader in the Commercial Real Estate Development and Asset Ownership arena is looking for an exceptional team member who will partner with their Property Managers and lend their talent to their managing the accounting efforts attached to their large portfolio.  As their newest Property Management Accountant (Edmonton, AB) you will have the opportunity to work with a highly knowledgeable team, promoting your capacity for adding value to the operation by demonstrating your experience, resourcefulness, flexibility, intellect and high attention for detail.  In doing so, and based on this company’s continued growth, you have the ability to transition yourself into elevated positions that will aid in your career trajectory.

RESPONSIBILITIES   Working in a highly entrepreneurial and dynamic environment, you will be tasked with managing the full cycle accounting efforts attached to a thriving portfolio of properties.  In doing so, you will perform various functions, including: bank reconciliations, budgets/development, year-end reconciliations, cash flow statements, accruals/adjustments, working papers, GST, tenant payments, record of transfers and expense monitoring, etc.  Ultimately, you will partner with and provide advice to the Property Managers.  Having experience in software migration and implementation would be considered a great asset.

EXPERIENCE   Your exposure in a Commercial Real Estate accounting environment along with post-secondary education has given you solid experience and an excellent working knowledge of the various drivers associated with property management accounting, including having experience with Yardi/Yardi Voyager and MS Office Suite. You have been regaled for your exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, beyond that of having industry knowledge. You understand the fast pace and constant demands associated with this work.  As such, you adapt to change and are flexible in your approach to your job. In addition you are very responsive, demonstrating a sense of urgency and timeliness.
